Dr. Mauricio Dujowich
Dr. Dujowich, a board-certified surgeon with expertise in oncologic, soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurosurgery, is a co-founder of the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon. Following his undergraduate studies at UC San Diego, he completed his veterinary degree at UC Davis and underwent five years of advanced training.
His commitment to education saw him founding XPrep Learning Solutions, and developing online tools such as VetPrep and VetTech Prep, recognized as the gold standard for board examination preparation. After a productive stint at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, Dr. Dujowich joined the University of Florida's faculty, imparting surgical knowledge to upcoming generations. Inspired by this experience, he moved west to Bend, Oregon, to establish a comprehensive veterinary care system, begin a family, and participate in adventure sports. To ensure the center's long-term sustainability and adherence to high standards of care, he co-founded Legend Veterinary Alliance, an alliance committed to maximizing impact and forging an enduring legacy.
Dr. Chris Horstman
Dr. Chris Horstman, founder of Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center in Omaha, NE, has dedicated his career to providing advanced orthopedic care for small animals. Sirius Vet, where the mantra is "returning four-legged athletes to peak performance," is renowned for services like arthroscopy, fracture repair, and 3D bone modeling.
Horstman's journey began in Nebraska, leading him to veterinary school in Kansas, surgical residency in Mississippi, and a thriving practice in Las Vegas. After earning an MBA in 2015, he returned to Nebraska, cherishing his role as a family man with two boys, a supportive wife, and two dogs. In 2022, Dr. Horstman, Dr. Jackson, and Dr. Dujowich formed Legend Veterinary Alliance. Their collective efforts focus on optimizing hospital potential, enhancing every clinic aspect, and striving to leave a lasting legacy in their community.
Dr. Josh Jackson
Dr. Josh Jackson is a pioneering veterinary specialist known for founding Bridger Veterinary Specialists in Bozeman, MT, and co-founding Sentinel Veterinary Specialists in Missoula, MT, Montana's first multidisciplinary specialty hospital. In less than five years, these hospitals have introduced comprehensive specialty care services, ranging from oncology to radiation therapy, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and fun.
Before his Montana ventures, Dr. Jackson co-founded the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego and ETHOS Veterinary Health, contributing to their growth and training hundreds of house officers. He also established the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Hong Kong, which was sold to Mars Petcare. He enjoys Montana's outdoor activities with his family and pets outside work. After several successful business exits, Dr. Jackson settled in Montana, focusing on community service and legacy building. He co-founded Legend Veterinary Alliance to build something exceptional while still maintaining an atmosphere of enjoyment and satisfaction.
